Recruiting Board Members

Are you passionate about improving health and social care in Medway and giving consumers a voice in the design and delivery of services? We are!

Healthwatch Medway is recruiting for four volunteer board members to steer the development of the organisationís strategy and to manage the transition to becoming an independent entity.

You may have experience of the running of an organisation, probably as a board member or manager, and bring a range of experience and skills.

You may have detailed knowledge of health or social care issues, although you could bring skills from other sectors too.

We are keen to appoint a balanced board, which will reflect the characteristics of our community in terms of ethnicity, age, gender, disability status and sexual orientation.

We positively welcome applications which may help us to achieve this balance.

Specific skills we are seeking include:

  • Finance and income generation
  • Detailed knowledge of the National Health Service

Applicants must be over the age of 18 with knowledge of Medway and its demographics.

Commitment needed: Approximately 1-2 days per month.

Terms will be for an initial period of 1 year, after which the needs of the organisation will be re-assessed.

Please note that these positions are voluntary; however, reasonable expenses will be paid.

If you wish to apply for this role, please e-mail your CV and covering letter to
